The Team
Robert M T Jutson, Jr.
Robert M T Jutson, Jr., Managing Director. Mr. Jutson founded Griffin Capital in 1985 with the goal of acquiring corporate real estate and arranging project financing and private placements for early- and growth-stage enterprises.
Active in Russia and the FSU since 1994, Mr. Jutson has appeared on CNN International regarding current events in Russia and served as a Director of Dal Telecom International (1999-2002), the largest GSM operator in Far Eastern Russia (acquired by Vimpelcom). Mr. Jutson was previously a limited partner of Fieldstone Private Capital Group, L.P., a Vice President of Eastdil Realty, Inc. and a Vice President of Gerald D. Hines Interests. He is widely published and has addressed numerous finance conferences in Russia and the FSU and throughout Europe (scroll down for Publications & Presentations).
Mr. Jutson graduated Rice University’s School of Architecture and attended the Columbia University Graduate School of Business Administration. A former Director and Corporate Secretary of The Explorers Club, he is the Project Sponsor with National Geographic for a high-altitude underwater archaeology expedition along the Silk Road.
Peter Kralj
Peter Kralj, Managing Director, Griffin Capital Partners Limited. Mr. Kralj, a project and lease finance specialist in our London office, Mr. Kralj is an expert on infrastructure finance and privatisation of government property. He originated and closed over £150 million of Housing Association and University funding under the UK’s Private Finance Initiative. In 1990, Mr. Kralj completed the lease financing of the first two CCGT electricity power stations at Corby and Peterborough in the UK at a capital cost of £225 million each. Since 2005, he has arranged debt and equity for, and now manages, 9 industrial grid connect solar power (PV) generating companies in Germany.
Mr. Kralj is also the author of “Wealth Creation or Redistribution“.
A lawyer, accountant and tax specialist by training, Mr. Kralj was previously with Bankers Trust (London). In 1979, at Bankers Trust, he started the UK Special Products Group with responsibility for tax-based leasing which included cross border big ticket deals and product development. Prior to that, he was with Price Waterhouse in the UK and Australia.
Ricardo Paz Treviño
Ricardo Paz Treviño, Director, Secure Systems and Managing Director, Latin America. Mr. Paz Treviño is an international trade specialist in the fields of personal security systems, mobile and fixed asset tracking, secure encryption algorithms and conditional access systems for ultra-secure fixed wireless and satellite communications.
Mr. Paz Treviño has served as a senior advisor and operative to various agencies of the US and foreign governments. He has worked as a consultant and due diligence expert for companies which include Microsoft, AT&T, Telefónica de España, INTEL, QualComm, NetBrasil, ARTEAR (Grupo Clarin), Hughes’ DirecTV, News Corp’s SKY-Latin, EchoStar, Consorcio Minero S.A. (Mexico City), Apud & Asociados (Santiago) and Swiss Fiduciary Trust (Geneva).
Mr. Paz Treviño graduated from the University of Houston and Pepperdine University, where he received his BS in Electrical Engineering and his MBA in International Finance, respectively.
Elena Jmourova
Elena Jmourova, Deputy Director, CFA. Ms. Jmourova has extensive experience in corporate finance, M&A due diligence, and management consulting with a focus on consumer, retail, pharmaceutical and medical device sectors in the US, Europe and Russia. From 2005 to 2009, Ms. Jmourova worked at McKinsey in a strategy and corporate finance advisory role, and at Citigroup from 2009 to 2011 in investment banking and financial strategy.
Ms. Jmourova holds a BA in Law from International University (Moscow), an MA from Dartmouth College and an MBA from Columbia University Graduate School of Business.
